Volunteers are key to Capuchin Community Services and the outreach at the House of Peace and St. Ben’s Community Meal. You or your organization can get involved today by searching for an available volunteer opportunity.
Volunteer with Capuchin Community ServicesIn-kind donations of clean and gently used clothing, unexpired nonperishables or other items are welcome. Unlike some other non-profits, donated items are not re-sold. They go directly to those who need them most.

We need your help to fill these boxes for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It`s so important that our neighbors can celebrate the holidays with a delicious meal. Can your Parish, business, organization or group sign up to fill Holiday Food Boxes?

Each box contains 1 box of mashed potatoes, 1 bag of stuffing, 2 cans of cranberry sauce, 4 cans of corn, 1 box cake mix, 1 can of frosting, 2 boxes of pudding or Jell-O, 2 boxes of cornbread, 2 boxes of mac n cheese, 1 can of sweet potatoes, 4 cans of green beans, and 1 can of gravy.

Postulants, Lawrence and Matthew, are hard at work serving at St. Ben’s shower ministry.
Ministry is an important part of postulancy, and each week these two men serve our guests by helping with the showers, keeping the sign-up organized, cleaning the facilities and, most importantly, getting to know the people who come through our doors. They also lend a hand serving at St. Ben’s Community Meal!

On Friday, we welcomed two very special visitors to the House of Peace! Thomas and Colette made the 17-hour drive from Dallas, Texas, to deliver a truck full of donations for our guests.
Every other month, the couple chooses a charitable organization to support, collecting clothing, food, and other essentials from neighbors, friends, and their church community.
Their generosity has taken them to 28 states so far—and they’re not stopping anytime soon! They even keep a record book filled with photos and memories from their travels and donations.
While at the House of Peace, Thomas and Colette helped unload their truck, toured our Clothing Closet, and took time to pray over the House of Peace with our staff. Thank you, Thomas and Colette, for your generosity and care to our ministry and charities across the country!
The St. Ben’s Winter Warming Center is open nightly, December through March.
