In addition to the relatively new ministry of hosting a Warming Center, the Saint Ben’s site of CCS has long hosted the Point in Time Count, and will do so again this year, overnight on January 22 and into the early morning of January 23. At the PIT count city and county officials, with the help of volunteers, meet and assess the needs of our brothers and sisters struggling with homelessness, and connect them with resources.
People often think of the holidays as the time of year people go hungry. However, hunger is a daily problem for many of our guests and we are frequently unable to keep our Emergency Food Pantry shelves adequately stocked.
