Supply Chain Disruption – In a Good Way!
December 23, 2021
Saint Lawrence Seminary alumnus Ron Awe and the Human Concerns Committee of the Tri-Parishes of Hartland (St. Peter's, St. Lawrence and Resurrection) have long been generous supporters of CCS ministries. He called on Friday to arrange pick-up of the fruits of the parishes’ hygiene kit drive – not knowing that we were on the verge of running out of items to include with our Holiday Food Box and Toy distributions at the House of Peace. The van was loaded after the 11am Mass at Saint Peter’s yesterday, and we were ready to open again and share generously on Monday. Thanks to Ron, thanks to the parishes, and special thanks to Knights of Columbus #12588 and #12743 who also sponsored the drive – and did all the grunt work loading the van!
Then Joe Lynch from Saint Bruno’s in Dousman arrived with the fruits of their church’s giving tree. This included an abundance of blankets, which went “right onto the showroom floor,” stocking the boutique that is our guests’ last stop. Thank you, Joe, and thanks to everyone at Saint Bruno’s who helped the giving tree grow!
