SNAP Benefit Disruption

SNAP Benefits Delayed? We’re Here for You.

Due to the federal government shutdown, Wisconsin FoodShare benefits were not issued on their normal timetable starting November 1. If you or your family are facing food insecurity, the House of Peace is ready to help. Capuchin Community Services’ House of Peace serves the 53205, 53206 and 53233 ZIP codes.

With an influx of greater need due to the government shutdown, if you are able to help restock our shelves, you can help in any of the following ways:

🥫 Donate food items

Our greatest need is for fresh dairy and frozen meat or poultry. We can accept donations of dairy and meat products if purchased from a retailer and immediately delivered to the House of Peace. In addition, we gratefully accept donations of shelf-stable food like canned vegetables, pasta, rice, beans, and cereal.
